The first voyage and naming ceremony of MV "Tiger Bintulu" was held in Bintulu on August 2, 2022. The event was attended by Tiger Gas Group Chairmen Mr. Gerry Wang, Petronas President Mr. Mohamed Syazwan Abdulla@Laga Jenggi, and BPHP Group President Mr. Dato Mahammad Medan Abdullah among other distinguished guests.

During the ceremony, Mr. Dato Mahammad Medan Abdullah said the milestone achievement of the first voyage could not have been achieved without the joint efforts of Tiger Gas, Petronas Malaysia and Bintulu Ports. He also introduced the rich experience that the port has accumulated for 39 years in handling liquefied natural gas, and expressed that in the context of the global development towards cleaner and greener, the port will be better positioned to serve LNG ISO tank containers.

Malaysia LNG Sdn.Bhd. President Mr. Mohamed Syazwan Abdullah @ Laga Jenggi first congratulated MV "Tiger Bintulu" on its maiden voyage and reflected on the partnership between Petronas and Tiger Gas since 2015. He hoped that all parties could continue to maintain close cooperation and jointly promote the development of the industry.

In the end, Ms. Datin Noor Hayati Abdul Ghny named the MV "Tiger Bintulu" and the ceremony was successfully concluded with warm applause.
